We're proactive to the immediate global need for sustainable practices and share a cherished bond with the communities we influence. With a steadfast commitment to areas of Education, Empowerment, Environment and Health, Welspun works closely with the surrounding villages to touch, heal and better the quality of lives around the world. In everything we do, there is a strong commitment to sustainable development, balancing the needs of the present with those of the future.
A regular meeting held with the entire village to explain about CSR and why is it so important. Also we provide them regular updates on Welspun’s CSR efforts in Chandanvalley.
We celebrate International Womens Day at Chandanvalley. The event is used as a platform to discuss important issues such as fighting against gender discrimination and importance of distribution of labour among men and women.
As a Participatory Rural Activity technique, we conducted a transect walk through the villages of Chandanvalley, to discuss various village related issues, from infrastructure to understanding various village customs and practices.
We hold regular meets with the village ANM”s who are the key agents of health in a village. These ANM’s help us in providing medical support and reaching out to pregnant and lactating women.
Our constant drive to empower women through skill development gave rise to AKANKSHITHA. Through this skill development centre, we are providing sustainable living to over 150 women.
One of our key elements in CSV we contribute in multiple infrastructure projects such as the renovation of government upper primary school, along with separate toilets for boys and girls.
